Household pests can do severe structural damage as well as create fire hazards and spread disease. Not to mention the fact that they are just downright disgusting. Ick!
Then Repair Damage That Any Pests Have Caused
Mice in particular can devastate a home. Electrical or cable wiring, fabrics, walls; almost anything a mouse can chew through… he will. Termites are a whole other story. Complete houses can be not just devastated but literally destroyed by a termite infestation. Eggs left behind, by any household pest, should be eradicated through the pest control company’s treatments. Don’t take this for granted however. Be sure that you check for further infestation even after your home has been treated by a reputable, licensed and insured pest control company. Repair damage that any pests have done to your home only after assuring yourself that the pests in question have been eradicated completely and entirely from home. Doing so beforehand will simply make more work for you and more food for the pests.
Whatever you do, don’t assume that the people buying your home won’t notice a pest infestation. Some people go as far as to hire companies to inspect the home for pests before they purchase a home. In fact if you’re unsure of whether or not you have a pest infestation, the same company will do an inspection for you beforehand and save you some trouble.
